Scene Presets

Scene presets are one-tap ambient moods that configure the entire generative sequencer and all three instruments at once. Each preset creates a distinct ambient atmosphere.

Available Presets

Sleepy

A very slow, sparse soundscape designed for falling asleep. Low-intensity notes at around 20 BPM with gentle gong washes and soft bowl tones. Ideal for bedtime or deep relaxation.

Calm

A balanced ambient atmosphere at around 30 BPM. Moderate note density across all three instruments with a meditative quality. Good for focus, meditation, or background ambience.

Melodic

A richer, more rhythmically active sequence at around 45 BPM. Higher note probability and burst rates create melodic phrases with more variation. Works well for active listening or creative inspiration.

How to Use

Tap a preset to activate it and start playback immediately
Long-press a preset to regenerate the sequence with a new random seed while keeping the same mood
The active preset is highlighted in the interface
Your last-used preset is remembered across sessions

What Presets Control

Each preset adjusts:

Handpan note probability — how often the handpan plays
Bowl note probability — how often the singing bowls play
Gong note probability — how often the gong plays
Burst rate — rhythmic density and grouping
Beat duration — the overall tempo
Velocity scaling — how hard notes are struck

Instrument sound parameters (reverb, brightness, decay) are also adjusted to match the mood, with slow automatic modulation that evolves the sound over time.

When you share a URL, the active scene preset and its seed are included. Recipients hear exactly the same sequence you hear.
